TLC Director: Carla Baumann

Carla has been with TLC, in various capacities, for almost 19 years.

"I have been married to my husband, Tim, for 12 years.  We have 2 children, Lacy who is 9 years old and Levi, 4 years old.  I enjoy scrapbooking, watching my Minnesota sports teams, and spending time with  my family."

TLC Assistant Director & School-Age Teacher:  Cindy TeVogt

Cindy has been a teacher at TLC for almost 18 years.

"This is the most rewarding job, to be able to touch a child's life every day and to go home each night with something about that day that makes you smile.

I've been married for 9-1/2 years and have 2 children, ages 8 & 4.  I love to spend time with my family, go bike riding and play softball."

TLC Infant Teacher:  Brittany Trauring

Brittany has been a teacher at TLC for 9 years.

"I am so happy that God has chosen such a wonderful profession for me!  I absolutely love my job and the children and families here at the center.  That love is in everything I do here.

On a personal note, I love to travel.  I have been to Sweden, England, France, Italy, the Netherlands, but my favorite place I've been is Australia (where I met my husband).  I love to take pictures and scrapbook.  I also love spending time with family and friends."

TLC Infant Teacher:  Sunshine Hedlund

Sunshine has been teaching at TLC for 4 years.

"I love working with children.  I've worked in a variety of settings, with kids ranging from infants to teenagers.  One of my favorite things about working at TLC is that I get paid to love, kiss, hug and play with babies.  Baby kisses are definitely a perk of the job.  I also love working in a church and being able to celebrate the love of our Lord.

I love to explore God's creation with my husband, through fishing, camping, birdwatching and roadtrips.  I like to quilt, make cards, write, read and listen to music.  I also love taking pictures, especially of flowers, lakes, sunsets and babies.  Recently I've found a way to combine my love of photos, sewing and babies by making books for parents of infants who are moving to the Toddler room.  The books are a fun way to document a child's time of growing in the baby room."

TLC Toddler Teacher:  Jill Fillyaw

Jill has been a toddler teacher at TLC for 19 years!

"I am crazy enough to still be working with toddlers after 18 years and still love my job (most days)!

My husband Mark & I have 2 children that attended TLC as babies through school-age.   Part of who Nichole (10) and Carter (7) are today came from being at TLC.  As a family we spend a lot of time at our children's sporting events throughout the year - soccer, hockey & basketball."

TLC Toddler Teacher:  Brenda Johnson

"I have worked with the Toddlers for 10-1/2 years.  They make me smile and laugh during the day.  Toddlers make many changes during the Toddler time - it's fun to watch them develop exploration skills and speech.

I am married and have 2 children, a son who is 16 and a daughter, 13.  My pasttimes include baseball and going to the cabin.  I love to cook and am trying my hand at dinner parties on the side.  I have been involved with CMLC/TLC for 16-1/2 years.  My son started when he was eight weeks old.  I loved the staff - they were very enlightening on any questions I had as a new parent.  I enjoyed it so much when my daughter was born, I started as a substitute.  I was a sub for 2 years and then went full time.  My daughter went through the program also.  It was lots of fun going to work and having my children at the center, watching them grow."

TLC Toddler Teacher:  Michelle

Michelle has been at TLC for 3 years.

"I felt early on that God blessed me with the interest in teaching.  I've been teaching children for 10 years now and I love it.  Each child has been such a joy to care for - they make me smile and laugh all the time.

One of my most favorite hobbies is photography.  I've been doing that professionally for 9 years.  I'm also a huge fan of soccer, and when I have a free moment, I'll assist my brother coaching his team."

TLC Preschool Teacher:  Pat Wermerskirchen

Pat has been with TLC for 18 years.

"I attended Hennepin Technical College for Early Childhood Education.  I love reading to the children and listening to their endless stories.  They can always make me laugh.  I'm always amazed at how much they grow from the time they enter my care until the time they leave.

I have 2 wonderful children, Melissa & Cory, the loves of my life.  I like to read, go to movies and spend time with friends."

TLC Preschool & Pre-K Teacher:  Jacque Ritter

Jacque has been with TLC for almost 14 years.

"I believe that teaching is like caring for plants, watering them, and over time you see the growth.  Our goal in the pre-K program is to provide a warm, nurturing and safe atmosphere for our children in which to grow and learn.  We work on the letters, numbers, and a number of other concepts to help prepare the children for Kindergarten."

Jacque and Mark have been married for 27 years and have two daughters, Stephanie & Rochelle.  Jacque enjoys running, reading and writing.

TLC Preschool Teacher:  Jessica Brodal

Jessica has been a teacher at TLC for 10 years.

"I love providing the kids with open-ended activities that help them learn and grow.

I spend most of my free time with my family and friends.  I enjoy anything artsy like scrapbooking.  I also enjoy reading, playing volleyball and volunteering for the MN Vikings Children's Fund."

TLC Preschool Teacher:  Scott Marron

Scott has been a teacher at TLC for 7 years.

"Christian education is really important.  The earlier the children start to learn about God, the better.  I try to be patient and loving toward the children.

I'm very excited about my new family, married Becca on June 7 (the first ever TLC staff marriage!), and being a good husband to her & dad to Alec."

TLC Floating Teacher:  Becca Marron

"I really enjoy getting to know and having fun with the kids.

It has been a blessing to grow up in this church and daycare.  I came here as a little girl and have wonderful memories.  Then I have the privilege to work here while my son comes here.  He has so many friends he is growing up with, and wonderful teachers."
